Mom Pleads Not Guilty To Driving Kids To A Murder
Here’s another case of the mom taxi taking kids somewhere to do something bad. You may remember a recent news story of mother accused of driving her son’s “homeboys” over to shoot up a rival gang members house. This one is even worse.
A mother in Long Beach, California has pleaded not guilty to to murder today in court. She is accused of driving her own 14 year old son and 6 of his friends, who are also minors, to a skate park so that they could kill another kid.
Jose Cano, 13, died from stab wounds from the attack. Police say that Eva Daley, who drove the attackers to their victim, knew on the way there that they were going to kill him.
It was chaos in the courthouse today after Daley entered her not guilty plea. Supporters of the mother scuffled with people there in support of her conviction. One of Daley’s supporters reportedly punched a news cameraman outside the courtroom.
Daley was ordered held on $1 million bail. If convicted she will face up to 35 years in prison.
The seven boys accused of attacking and killing the 13 year old are in police custody. They are all charged with commiting murder with special circumstances since the killing is reported to have been gang related.
