Britney Spears Charged With Hit and Run and Driving Without A Valid License
The legal troubles just keep coming for Britney Spears.
Now, Britney has been charged with two misdemeanors stemming from an August 6 incident in a San Fernando Valley parking lot. Britney allegedly hit a parked car and got out, but only to see if her own car was okay. When she was satisfied that she hadn’t messed up her own ride, she got in and left, without ever notifying the other driver that she had damaged their car.
The Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office has confirmed that Spears has been charged with one count of hit and run causing damage and one count of driving without a valid California driver’s license. Who knew Britney wasn’t licensed to drive?
The charges against Spears will not require her to appear in court, since they are both misdemeanors. Each charge does carry a penalty of up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine though, so Spears may want to show up to ask the court for mercy! The hearing is scheduled for October 10.
